What is Aluminium Foil Tape?
Aluminium Foil Tape is a pressure-sensitive tape consisting of a soft aluminium foil backing coated with acrylic or rubber-based adhesive and protected by a release liner. The aluminium foil provides excellent thermal conductivity, heat reflection, moisture barrier, and EMI/RFI shielding properties — making it essential for HVAC, insulation, and industrial applications.
Carpenter Aluminium Foil Tape is available in standard (25μm), medium (50μm), and heavy-duty (80–100μm) foil grades. The acrylic adhesive system provides strong, permanent adhesion in both hot and cold environments, and the tape conforms easily to duct surfaces, bends, and irregular shapes without cracking or delaminating.
