What is Kraft Paper Tape?
Kraft Paper Tape is a packaging tape made from kraft paper — a strong, tear-resistant paper produced from wood pulp using the kraft (sulphate) process. Kraft paper tape is available in two adhesive systems: Self-Adhesive (pressure-sensitive acrylic or rubber adhesive — apply and press like any tape) and Gummed/Water-Activated (WAT — the adhesive is activated by moistening with water, creating an extremely strong bond that becomes part of the carton surface).
Carpenter Kraft Paper Tape is widely used in eco-conscious packaging operations as a sustainable alternative to BOPP plastic tape. It is 100% paper-based and recyclable — making it compliant with green packaging requirements and e-commerce sustainability standards.
