What is Double Sided Polyester Tape?
Double Sided Polyester Tape consists of a transparent PET (polyester) film carrier coated with acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive on both faces, protected by a silicone release liner on one or both sides. The PET backing provides excellent dimensional stability, chemical resistance, and temperature resistance compared to other double sided tape types.
Unlike double sided tissue tape (which has a tissue carrier), polyester tape maintains its shape under heat and pressure — making it suitable for applications where precise, gap-free bonding is required in demanding environments. Carpenter Double Sided Polyester Tapes are available in thicknesses from 0.05mm to 0.20mm and can be supplied in rolls or die-cut shapes.
