What is Filament Tape?
Filament Tape is a pressure-sensitive tape that consists of a polypropylene or polyester film backing with continuous fiberglass filaments embedded in the adhesive or laminated onto the backing to dramatically increase tensile strength. The reinforced structure prevents the tape from stretching or breaking under high load — making it ideal for strapping, bundling, and palletising heavy items.
Carpenter filament tape is available in two constructions: Mono Filament Tape (fibres running in one direction — longitudinal) for applications requiring straight-line tensile strength, and Cross Filament Tape (bi-directional fibre weave) for applications requiring strength in both directions, such as pallet wrapping and carton reinforcing.
