What is PVC Electrical Insulation Tape?
PVC Electrical Insulation Tape is a pressure-sensitive tape made from a flexible, flame-retardant PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) film coated with a rubber-based adhesive. It is designed to insulate electrical wires, prevent current leakage, and protect connections from moisture, abrasion, and corrosion.
Carpenter PVC insulation tapes comply with IS 13585 (Indian Standard) for performance requirements including dielectric strength (minimum 4kV), flame retardancy (self-extinguishing within 60 seconds), and elongation at break (minimum 150%). Available in 10 standard colours for wire colour-coding applications.
